5 Best Internet Download Managers for Windows 10, 8.1 and 8?

The internet is full of download managers. Choosing the right product is a difficult task. Even the fastest internet browser need some downloading tools. They also do not utilize the maximum bandwidth speed. For this purpose, you need to buy the fastest download manager which can make downloading faster. To make internet faster in Windows 8 or 8.1, you need to have the right download manager. Otherwise, some products come with crappy adware that can become hindrance to the browsing experience.

Checking each download manager present on the internet can become a daunting task even for the hard-working Windows user. For this purpose, I reviewed a few websites which do reviews on software products. You not only know the editor rating, but also the user’s ratings. This will give enough confidence to try such products before you buy it. Three major sites that do reviews about internet download managers are CNET, Majorgeeks and Softonic.

Why CNET Reviews cannot be believed?

Though Google rates CNET reviews on top of search engine rankings, it has lot of “cooked” up crap. Most of the editor ratings are not of “honest” opinion and if you observe the reviews, you can know yourself. Also, downloads from this site contain lot of adware, spyware and other unwanted crap. Most of the CNET download.com stuff is filled with crappy bundleware.

So as a caution, buyers and visitors also must see the user’s ratings and reviews on this site.

Why Majorgeeks is better ?

If you observe this site, a clear picture and honest review of the product is given. It clearly mentions whether a given software has any adware or bundleware. This is useful for a casual or un-suspecting user, who just clicks on “Next” button to install a particular software. Also the products are listed in categories. The display of items is very refined with the release date, download size, kind of software, price, operating system and popularity clearly mentioned.

Conclusion

In my experience, I have used variety of download managers and add-ons to make internet faster. But by observing many reviews and articles on different sites, I find that IDM is very easy to operate and gives you the required features for your money. Though certain free download managers like Orbit, VCatcher, Free YouTube Downloader, GetRight have good ratings on CNET, they are still to be tested for compatibility issues.

Though the main features of many download managers are same, some are good at what they say. IDM full utilization of bandwidth speed and increase in download speeds by 5x times faster, is a useful feature. Also I find it useful in downloading YouTube videos. Also don’t install too many download managers, as that can complicate your browsing experience.

As a last resort, just uninstall and use a register cleaner if you don’t like any of the above software. Most of the above download managers have good ratings on different sites, like Jdownloader and each one has a special feature than the other.
